Amazing Grace: YorubaWorlds
Amazing Grace YorubaWorlds is a feature documentary to be released in 2026 that explores Yoruba culture and its global impact on Afro Brazilian and Afro Diaspora culture.
Chronicling the journey of Black excellence, the film highlights Nigerian Nobel Laureate in Literature, Professor Wole Soyinka—the first Black “author” to receive this honor—alongside the voices and music of renowned Afrobeat and Afro-Brazilian artists. Afrobeats has become a global phenomenon, while Afro-Brazilian culture thrives daily through the lives of 120 million Afro-descendants in Brazil. Filming has already brought together Afrobeat talents in Lagos such as Falana, Brymo, and Seun Kuti, alongside Brazilian cultural icons Gilberto Gil, Carlinhos Brown, and Margareth Menezes (currently Brazil’s Minister of Culture), forming the heart of the first feature-length film in this series.

In The Eye of the Spiral
In the Eye of the Spiral winner of Best Feature Documentary 2014 BAFF narrated by Annie Lennox offers an extended meditation on the Haitian aesthetic philosophy of Spiralism and is an inspiring example of the importance and value of art and literature faced with the brutality and chaos that faces Haiti. Touching upon life, politics, spirituality, Vodou, African ancestry and politics.
In the Eye of the Spiral explores the great dichotomy between a nation and culture wrought with corruption and impacted by natural disasters, and the incredible will of a new generation of Haitian artists who are now producing art as a result of their personal journeys of redemption and resolve to survive. The film’s striking imagery also makes for a lively excursion into the colors and flavors of Haitian life. Starring Spiralism co founder FranckEtienne Nobel Prize candidate in 2029 and featuring Spiralism other co-founder Jean Claude Fignole and some of Haiti’s top artists Prefete Duffaut , Mario Benjamin, Frantz Zephirin, Denis Smith, Myrlande Constant, Edouard Duval Carrie, Patrick Vilaire, Sebastien Jean, Killy.

Real Maravilloso / Marvelous Realism. Inspired by Alejo Carpentier master work : In the Kingdom of This World inspired by the Haitian Revolution Macandal. completed in 2018 winner of multiple film awards. It is a way of life in Cuba, when the possibilities of being are open to the unexpected and magical existence through its African heritage and inspirations of Haiti’s Revolution. Meet the Director
Raynald Leconte is a Haitian-American, award winning filmmaker and producer whose work explores the intersections of culture, history, and identity. Based in New York City, educated in English boarding school Raynald along with subsequent years living has living in Africa, Europe, and South America - including as son of a United Nations diplomat - shaped the global perspective. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Boston University and trained as an actor at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York, participating in several Off-Off-Broadway productions before committing to film.
Over the two decades, Leconte has built a career highlighting the synergy between media, technology, and the arts. He has collaborated with major media institutions, including CBS, Hewlett-Packard, and SAP while pioneering pop artist Peter Max into the digital era. His work extends to radio, where he created and co-produced Live from San Francisco: It’s Barbara Rodgers, which aired on Clear Channel Green 960, one of the country’s largest radio markets. in the U.S. Today he is dedicated to a new series of diaspora films that illuminate and deepen connections to the African continent by telling stories of larger-than-life figures. In parallel with his documentary practice, he continues to lead innovations in strategic digital signage and content creations in the Americas.
